Measurement Working Group
1. Description and activities of Working Group
The Measurement WG has two goals on traffic measurement research and development
: developing traffic measurement tools and collaborate traffic measurement research among KOREN/APAN-KR/APAN members.
First, the Measurement WG will develop and deploy
a set of traffic measurement, visualization and analysis tools
that can be useful for network research and KOREN/APAN-KR network operation.
These tools will monitor, collect, visualize, and analyze
the status of the network components and objects to be observed.
Second, the Measurement WG will collaborate traffic measurement research among
KOREN/APAN-KR/APAN members based on the developed traffic measurement tools.
The intent of the Measurement WG is
to cooperate the network research and the development of traffic measurement tools which will be deployed in the KOREN NOC.
2. MileStone
- Feb. 2002 : Submit and review project proposals
- Mar. 2002 : Create initial project plans and goals
- Sep. 2002 : Develop tools and do research
- Oct. 2002 : Discuss the intermediate results
- Dec. 2002 : Submit the drafts and papers about each project
- Feb. 2003 : Deploy the developing measurement tools
- Afterwards: To be discussed and announced later
